Crown Prince Commends UAE Delegation’s Contribution to 18th BRICS Summit

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received the UAE team that represented the nation at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, acknowledging their pivotal role in advancing the Emirates' economic and diplomatic objectives.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has received the UAE delegation that participated in the 18th BRICS Summit, held in New Delhi, India, from 12 to 13 September 2026.

The reception, held at Barzat Al Bateen, reflected the Crown Prince’s recognition of the team’s instrumental efforts in ensuring the success of the UAE’s participation in the prestigious international gathering. His Highness commended not only the delegates themselves, but also the comprehensive preparations and seamless coordination undertaken by the relevant governmental entities in the lead-up to the summit.

The Crown Prince emphasised that these coordinated endeavours have proven instrumental in furthering the UAE’s strategic objectives. In particular, the delegation’s work has contributed meaningfully to expanding the nation’s economic and trade partnerships on the global stage, whilst simultaneously strengthening its presence and reinforcing its active role in fostering cooperation and constructive dialogue at both regional and international levels.

The United Arab Emirates’ participation in the summit marked its third occasion as a member of BRICS, the multilateral organisation established in 2009. BRICS was conceived with the fundamental purpose of promoting robust economic cooperation amongst its member nations, whilst championing the meaningful participation of developing and emerging economies within the broader global economic ecosystem.
