His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Morocco, has inaugurated the exhibition for the 12th edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Award for Arabian Horse Photography, held as part of the 17th edition of the Horse Show in El Jadida, Morocco.
During his comprehensive tour of the exhibition, the Crown Prince engaged with a curated collection of participating artworks and received detailed briefings from the award’s curatorial team on key achievements and developments across this year’s four distinguished categories: the resplendent beauty of Arabian horses, equestrian events and festivals, Tbourida, the traditional and captivating Moroccan spectacle of Fantasia, and the video category.
His Royal Highness exchanged thoughtful perspectives with the award’s team on several of the displayed works, exploring their creative vision and the sophisticated artistic techniques employed by photographers in capturing both the inherent beauty and authentic character of Arabian horses. The Crown Prince offered his commendation for the exceptional artistic calibre of the entries and the remarkable talent and creative prowess demonstrated by photographers throughout the Arab world.
The award stands as a distinguished reflection of the cultural vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, whose enduring commitment extends to the preservation of Arabian horse heritage and their elevated presence within cultural and artistic contexts. This commitment acknowledges their profound significance as an integral and treasured element of the UAE’s rich heritage and national identity.
Embodying a sophisticated approach to cultural stewardship, the award champions the creative application of visual arts in showcasing the extraordinary elegance of Arabian horses and their considerable historical importance, whilst simultaneously supporting and nurturing the emerging talents of young creatives. These artists are encouraged to produce compelling visual narratives that document this longstanding legacy and facilitate its introduction to future generations of admirers and custodians.
At the conclusion of the tour, attended by senior Moroccan officials, ambassadors, and Arab and international dignitaries, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan conveyed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his steadfast support of the award and his unwavering commitment to strengthening the cultural collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco. This collaborative spirit reflects the profound fraternal bonds that unite the two nations.
