Deputy Prime Minister Honours Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 Team for Humanitarian Excellence
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan recognises the extraordinary humanitarian contributions of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, whilst Future Leaders Empowerment Programme participants gain invaluable field experience in Gaza relief efforts.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has honoured the Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 team in recognition of their steadfast humanitarian endeavours and meaningful contributions to global welfare. The recognition underscores the UAE’s commitment to advancing its humanitarian message across the world stage through dedicated action and sustained support.
His Highness commended the team’s unwavering dedication, noting that whilst their work proceeds with quiet professionalism, the tangible outcomes speak eloquently of their impact. From coordinating relief convoys to delivering comprehensive care and treatment, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 consistently prioritises human welfare, embodying core Emirati values through demonstrable action that transforms lives and extends hope to vulnerable populations.
Participants from the Future Leaders Empowerment Programme undertook a field mission to Al Arish, Egypt, gaining first-hand understanding of UAE-led humanitarian operations supporting the Palestinian people. The delegation experienced relief, medical and logistical activities at ground level, fostering deep appreciation for service-oriented commitment.
During their visit, programme members assisted in preparing and packaging relief supplies for the Ahmad bin Zayed Foundation’s inaugural convoy under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. These parcels, comprising foodstuffs and health provisions, were processed at the logistics centre before onward delivery to Gaza. The delegation also visited the Rafah Crossing, where they received comprehensive briefings on humanitarian aid procedures and witnessed UAE teams’ coordinated efforts in delivering assistance and medical support.
Since Operation Chivalrous Knight 3’s establishment in 2023, the UAE has delivered more than 130,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza, representing approximately 46 percent of total international assistance to the region. This remarkable logistical achievement comprises 792 aircraft operations, over 14,000 truck deliveries, and 25 maritime missions. The operation has facilitated treatment for approximately 192,000 individuals.
Infrastructure developments undertaken include six desalination plants, collectively producing two million gallons of potable water daily, whilst immunisation campaigns have distributed 640,000 polio vaccines. The Humanitarian City has provided shelter and care for some 3,000 injured children and cancer patients alongside accompanying family members. Total humanitarian expenditure exceeds $4 billion, reflecting the UAE’s profound commitment to international welfare.
