DEWA Fortifies Infrastructure Through Strategic Global Partnerships

Dubai's utility authority has formalised three pivotal agreements with internationally renowned technology partners, advancing its commitment to operational excellence and digital resilience.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has progressed its vision of infrastructure modernisation through the formalisation of three significant agreements with leading global technology entities, witnessed during the 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition at WETEX 2026.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DEWA, oversaw the ceremonial signing of these agreements, which represent a deliberate strategic investment in enhancing the authority’s operational capabilities across critical domains including cybersecurity, digital transformation and asset management.
The collaborative framework encompasses three principal engagements, each contributing specialised expertise to DEWA’s evolving infrastructure requirements. The first partnership provides comprehensive information and communication technology solutions, encompassing hardware, software and associated support services tailored to the authority’s extensive network infrastructure, encompassing data centres, digital substations and cyber security protocols. The arrangement additionally formalises technical maintenance, professional training and collaborative innovation initiatives, ensuring DEWA’s technology assets remain contemporary and performance-optimised.
The second agreement establishes a unified framework for cybersecurity management, providing centralised oversight of licensing, asset visibility and risk intelligence through an advanced platform architecture enhanced by artificial intelligence analytical capabilities. This arrangement encompasses threat intelligence services, technical training and knowledge transfer initiatives, supporting DEWA’s continued advancement in operational security and resilience.
The third engagement addresses operational technology system management through specialised solutions for system monitoring, asset performance analysis and risk assessment. The comprehensive service offering includes ongoing technical support, security updates, professional development and strategic consultancy, alongside early access to emerging capabilities.
Al Tayer articulated the strategic rationale underlying these partnerships, emphasising DEWA’s commitment to maintaining world-class infrastructure standards whilst remaining responsive to technological advancement and Dubai’s sustained economic growth trajectory. The agreements facilitate knowledge exchange, technical expertise development and proactive asset and risk management, thereby reinforcing the operational security and continuity essential to critical infrastructure stewardship.
Each technology partner affirmed their commitment to supporting DEWA’s digital transformation ambitions and strengthening the resilience of the authority’s mission-critical operational environments, reflecting a shared commitment to operational excellence and innovation within critical infrastructure management.
