Dubai CDA and Jood forge partnership to advance priority social initiatives

A strategic collaboration between the Community Development Authority and Dubai Community Contributions Establishment aims to strengthen community engagement and direct resources towards sustainable social development across priority groups.
The Community Development Authority in Dubai and Dubai Community Contributions Establishment “Jood” have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding that represents a significant step forward in unifying government and community efforts towards meaningful social progress. This partnership seeks to channel contributions strategically towards priority social initiatives whilst supporting family stability, empowering individuals and enhancing overall quality of life in accordance with the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
The collaboration reflects a comprehensive approach to social development, built upon the foundation of identifying the genuine needs of individuals and families, and strengthening the integral role of community partnerships in delivering appropriate and impactful support. Rather than dispersing efforts across numerous individual contributions, the partnership moves towards coordinated initiatives capable of delivering sustainable developmental outcomes that create lasting positive change.
Through this cooperation, the Community Development Fund will finance projects and initiatives targeting priority groups including senior citizens, People of Determination, low-income families and individuals, children, and those most in need of support and care. The partnership additionally encompasses initiatives designed to prepare young people for the labour market and support families in developing entrepreneurial endeavours and expanding their economic opportunities, thereby fostering economic independence and creating sustainable avenues for improving quality of life.
The MoU establishes a framework for engaging government and private sector partners, enabling them to channel their voluntary contributions through the Jood platform in accordance with applicable regulations. This approach creates a structured ecosystem whereby social needs connect with opportunities for community participation, ensuring resources flow towards initiatives with the greatest potential for impact.
Sheikha Al Jarman, Chief Executive Officer of the Social Development Sector at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, emphasised the significance of this partnership. She affirmed that the true measure of community contributions lies not merely in the financial support provided, but in the tangible difference such initiatives make in people’s lives. The partnership endeavours to direct contributions towards initiatives that reinforce family stability, support individual empowerment and create enhanced opportunities for participation, productivity and economic independence.
Marwan Rashid bin Hashem, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Community Contributions Establishment “Jood”, highlighted how the collaboration strengthens the community contributions ecosystem by expanding opportunities for meaningful participation. Through Jood, structured channels enable individuals and institutions to contribute to social initiatives with confidence that their resources address genuine needs and deliver measurable, sustainable developmental impact.
Both entities have committed to measuring the social impact of projects and assessing their contribution to meeting the actual needs of beneficiary groups. This focus on impact assessment ensures that resources are allocated with maximum efficiency and that the partnership continually evolves to serve the community with greater effectiveness.
