Dubai Chambers Strengthens Trade Ties with China’s Greater Bay Area Through Strategic Partnerships

Dubai Chambers has established two significant memorandums of understanding with prominent Chinese business associations, opening new avenues for commercial cooperation and investment between the emirate and the Greater Bay Area.
Dubai Chambers has formalised two strategic partnerships with distinguished Chinese business organisations, signalling an expanded commitment to fostering trade and investment connections between Dubai and the economically vibrant Greater Bay Area. The agreements were established with the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, each representing influential commercial networks within the region.
The memorandums were executed during the Dubai Business Forum – China, a significant commercial gathering organised by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and Chief Executive of Dubai Chambers, formalised the agreement with the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association alongside Zhao Huazhong, Executive Chairman of that organisation. The parallel understanding with the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance was concluded by Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, and Diana Dai, Executive President of the UAE Chapter of the alliance.
These institutional arrangements represent a convergence of strategic intent between Dubai’s commercial leadership and China’s regional business communities. The partnerships establish a comprehensive framework for knowledge exchange, direct engagement between enterprises, and the identification of emerging opportunities across trade and investment sectors. Through dedicated channels for ongoing dialogue, the agreements facilitate the formation of enduring commercial relationships and enable companies from both regions to capitalise on complementary market strengths.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah emphasised the institutional significance of such arrangements, noting that they constitute a foundational element for private sector cooperation, enabling knowledge dissemination whilst creating pathways for enhanced trade and investment activity. The agreements reflect Dubai’s broader strategic positioning as a nexus for international commercial partnerships, reinforcing its established role in connecting business communities across global markets.
The memorandums form part of an integrated approach to supporting companies in their international expansion, enhancing competitive positioning, and cultivating stronger economic relationships that contribute to sustainable development. By strengthening institutional ties with key business associations, Dubai reinforces its commitment to facilitating commerce between its private sector and counterparts in strategically significant markets.
