Dubai Fitness Challenge Returns for Landmark 10th Edition with Registration Now Open

The Dubai Fitness Challenge invites residents and visitors to commit to 30 minutes of daily exercise over 30 days, running from October 31 to November 29, 2026, building on a decade of inspiring healthier living across the emirate.
Registration has opened for the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), marking a decade since the initiative’s launch in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The challenge continues its central premise: encouraging participants to dedicate 30 minutes daily to physical activity for 30 consecutive days, with the rallying question, ‘What’s Your 30×30?’
Running from 31 October to 29 November 2026, the programme has established itself as a transformative force within Dubai’s wellness landscape. Across nine previous editions, the initiative has welcomed more than 16 million participants, demonstrating the universal appeal of its straightforward approach to embedding fitness into everyday routines.
The 2026 edition promises an expanded array of opportunities for engagement. Four flagship mass-participation events anchor the calendar: Dubai Ride presented by DP World on 1 November, Dubai Run on 22 November, Dubai Stand-Up Paddle presented by RTA on 7 and 8 November at Hatta Dam, and Dubai Yoga presented by MHERO on 29 November. The Dubai Run has grown remarkably from 70,000 participants in 2019 to over 307,000 in 2025, whilst Dubai Ride welcomed more than 40,000 cyclists last year.
Beyond these headline events, the DFC framework encompasses three free Fitness Villages offering diverse classes and facilities for basketball, football, padel and volleyball, alongside more than 23 Community Fitness Hubs distributed across the emirate. Thousands of complimentary classes and activities will extend participation opportunities throughout the challenge period.
This milestone year coincides with the UAE’s Year of the Family, positioning DFC as a vehicle for strengthening family and community connections through shared movement. The challenge emphasises that physical activity remains accessible to people of all ages and abilities, whether through sunrise yoga, lunchtime walks, community padel matches or Fitness Village classes.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the initiative’s broader impact: ‘For a decade, Dubai Fitness Challenge has supported our ambition to make Dubai one of the healthiest, most active cities globally.’ He emphasised the significance of the 30×30 concept’s simplicity in democratising fitness engagement.
The 10th edition also showcases Dubai’s standing as a premier global sporting destination, hosting world-class events including the Emaar Dubai Premier Padel P1, DP World Tour Championship, Dubai T100 Triathlon, Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix and the Emirates Dubai 7s, all occurring during November.
Organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Sports Council, with extensive support from presenting partners and a comprehensive network of association partners, the 2026 edition reaffirms the commitment to nurturing a citywide culture of health and togetherness. Residents and visitors can now commence planning their personal 30×30 journey, exploring the diverse pathways to physical engagement available throughout the month.
