Dubai to Host Inaugural International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference in November 2026

The Roads and Transport Authority will organise EV World 2026, a landmark event bringing together over 300 international companies and organisations to showcase innovations in sustainable mobility and advance Dubai's position as a global hub for electric vehicle technology.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will host the inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference 2026 (EV World 2026) from 10th to 12th November at Dubai World Trade Centre. Under the theme ‘Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future’, the event represents a significant milestone in the emirate’s commitment to advancing green mobility solutions and reinforcing its status as a global innovation hub.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, emphasised the event’s importance in positioning Dubai at the forefront of the global electric vehicle sector. He highlighted that the international public transport industry is undergoing rapid transformation towards electric and new energy vehicles, driven by advances in battery technology, clean energy infrastructure, artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. These developments are creating substantial economic and investment opportunities for cities capable of building integrated ecosystems that combine flexible regulatory frameworks, advanced infrastructure and public-private partnerships.
The conference will attract more than 300 local and international companies, authorities and organisations, alongside over 30 business partners and 70 speakers specialising in sustainable transport. Attendees—expected to exceed 10,000 industry specialists and interested visitors—will explore cutting-edge solutions spanning electric vehicle manufacturing, battery management, hydrogen fuel cells, sustainable energy technologies, fast-charging stations, smart infrastructure, unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous systems.
RTA has established the ‘Zero-Emissions Public Transportation in Dubai 2050’ strategy, becoming the first entity in the Middle East to commit to net-zero-emission public transport by mid-century. This ambitious vision is already translating into tangible progress: the taxi and limousine fleet now comprises more than 72 percent environmentally friendly vehicles, with electric vehicles accounting for 19 percent—already exceeding 2026 targets. RTA has developed an operational plan to convert the entire taxi and limousine fleet to electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles by 2040.
The RTA has also made significant strides in public bus operations, replacing conventional buses with advanced electric models designed for regional climatic conditions whilst conducting trials of fast-charging and opportunity-charging technologies. Marine transport has undergone transformation through electric and hydrogen-powered abras and modern vessels operating across Dubai Creek and Dubai Water Canal, reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution whilst preserving Dubai’s maritime heritage.
International preparations are advancing rapidly, with promotional visits and partnership meetings conducted across China, Germany, Belgium and India. A cooperation agreement with China EV100, China’s electric vehicle alliance, aims to expand Chinese participation and strengthen collaboration in technology, research and development.
