Dubai to Host Landmark International Hypertension Conference

The 31st International Society of Hypertension Scientific Meeting arrives in the Middle East and North Africa for the first time, bringing together global medical expertise in cardiovascular care
Dubai will serve as the distinguished host for the 31st International Society of Hypertension Scientific Meeting, convened jointly with the 17th Emirates Cardiac Society Annual Conference from 22nd to 25th October 2026. This inaugural gathering in the Middle East and North Africa region marks a significant recognition of the UAE’s standing within the global medical community and its commitment to advancing cardiovascular science.
The Emirates Cardiac Society, working in partnership with Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism, successfully secured this prestigious opportunity, positioning the nation as a centre for international medical discourse and collaboration. The parallel convening of both conferences reflects the society’s dedication to fostering meaningful connections between regional healthcare professionals and the world’s leading scientific networks, whilst simultaneously elevating the clinical experience, research achievements and healthcare priorities of the region onto the international stage.
ISH-ECS 2026 will convene hypertension specialists, cardiologists, researchers and healthcare professionals across four days of rigorous scientific exchange, continuing education and professional collaboration. The conference will showcase 290 scientific research submissions originating from more than 70 countries worldwide, spanning Pakistan, India, Brazil, the United States, Egypt, Jordan and Kenya, alongside numerous other nations.
The gathering will distinguish itself through its exceptional roster of international expertise, bringing together 160 speakers from beyond the UAE and Gulf region alongside 140 speakers based within the Emirates. This composition reflects both the breadth of global participation and the considerable depth of medical knowledge and innovation cultivated locally. The scientific programme encompasses more than 380 lectures and five specialised workshops, each devoted to exploring the latest developments and practical applications within hypertension and cardiovascular medicine.
The conference has received accreditation from the European Board for Accreditation of Continuing Education for Health Professionals, with participants eligible to earn 23 hours of continuing medical education. A particular emphasis has been placed upon supporting the next generation of medical professionals, with dedicated programming offering early-career and mid-career physicians opportunities for scientific participation, professional development, scholarships and recognition through awards.
