EV World 2026 to Spotlight Electric Mobility’s Regional Expansion
Dubai will host the inaugural Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference this November, bringing together industry leaders to explore the region's burgeoning sustainable transport opportunities.
The Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference, scheduled for 10th to 12th November at Dubai World Trade Centre, will serve as a premier platform for advancing electric mobility across the Gulf and beyond. Organised in strategic partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the inaugural event will convene vehicle manufacturers, investors, infrastructure developers, charging providers and mobility technology innovators.
The global electric vehicle sector continues its robust expansion. The International Energy Agency’s latest Global EV Outlook 2026 projects electric cars to capture 29 percent of worldwide passenger vehicle sales this year, with more than 100 countries reporting growth in electric car sales throughout 2025. BloombergNEF forecasts global passenger EV sales reaching 23 million units in 2026, representing approximately 27 percent of total passenger vehicle transactions.
The Gulf Cooperation Council region presents particularly compelling growth prospects. The GCC electric vehicle market is projected to expand from US$11.64 billion in 2026 to US$31.66 billion by 2031, encompassing opportunities across passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, charging infrastructure, battery technology, energy storage systems, smart mobility software and renewable energy integration.
The United Arab Emirates maintains ambitious sustainability objectives through its National Electric Vehicles Policy, which establishes a comprehensive nationwide charging network whilst regulating the EV market and reducing energy consumption in transport by 20 percent by 2050. The nation targets increasing electric vehicles to represent 50 percent of all vehicles on its roads by 2050. Dubai’s infrastructure development demonstrates this commitment, with EV charging points reaching 2,223 by the first quarter of 2026, including DEWA EV Green Charger stations and facilities operated by DEWA-licensed providers.
EV World 2026 anticipates attracting over 10,000 visitors, more than 300 exhibitors, over 70 industry speakers, more than 30 strategic partners and more than 100 delegates from the global mobility sector. Participants will represent electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, batteries and energy storage, commercial fleets, smart and air mobility technologies, autonomous vehicles and renewable energy sectors.
The conference will facilitate meaningful engagement between companies and government decision-makers, regional partners, distributors, investors, infrastructure developers and fleet operators, whilst exploring market entry opportunities, investment prospects, strategic partnerships and regional expansion possibilities. EV World 2026 underscores Dubai’s role as a vital connector between international companies and emerging Middle Eastern markets.
