flydubai Expands Syrian Network with Inaugural Travel Show Participation
The UAE carrier demonstrates its strategic commitment to Syria's tourism recovery, showcasing expanded services to Damascus and Aleppo at the inaugural Syria Travel Show in Damascus.
flydubai is reinforcing its position as a vital connector between the United Arab Emirates and Syria, participating in the inaugural Syria Travel Show (STS) 2026, which runs from 28th to 30th September in Damascus. The event, held under the patronage of Syria’s Ministry of Tourism, convenes global travel professionals, tourism authorities, aviation and hospitality leaders, investors and cultural institutions to identify new commercial opportunities across the country’s expanding travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.
The airline’s participation reflects its strategic commitment to the Syrian market and its role in supporting the country’s recovery and international connectivity. flydubai became the first UAE airline to resume direct flights to Damascus in June 2025, establishing a daily service between Dubai International Airport and Damascus International Airport. Recognising sustained demand for travel between the two nations, the carrier has since increased this to three daily flights.
In July 2026, flydubai further strengthened its Syrian operations by launching daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Aleppo International Airport, marking a significant milestone as the airline’s return to the city after nearly fourteen years of absence.
