Four Voices, One Studio: Abu Dhabi’s Artists in Residence

Within the serene studios of the Cultural Foundation, four distinguished artists have commenced an immersive six-month residency that embodies the very essence of creative dialogue and intellectual fellowship. Mansour AlHeera, Uthra Varghese, Zainab Alhashmi and Dhabia Al Qubaisi bring with them distinct artistic practices and singular visions, each dedicated to developing their work within thoughtfully appointed studio spaces that serve as both sanctuary and laboratory for creative exploration.
The residency programme represents far more than a simple allocation of studio space. Rather, it constitutes a carefully orchestrated environment wherein artists engage in sustained research, meaningful conversation and the generous exchange of knowledge. Throughout their tenure, the residents interact with accomplished curators, cultural practitioners, fellow artists, museum directors and gallerists, thereby weaving themselves into the fabric of Abu Dhabi’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic artistic landscape.
This programme of artistic exchange opens new horizons for each participant, fostering the emergence of fresh perspectives and forging enduring connections that will resonate throughout the emirate’s creative community. The six-month immersion allows for the cultivation of ideas and the deepening of artistic practice in an atmosphere of intellectual rigour and collegial support, positioning the Cultural Foundation as an essential incubator for the region’s continued cultural flourishing.
