Fujairah Martial Arts Club Awarded Gold for Community Impact at Gulf Sustainability Awards

The emirate's leading martial arts institution has secured top honours at the prestigious Gulf Sustainability Awards 2026, recognising its transformative work in developing sporting talent and strengthening community engagement across the region.
Fujairah Martial Arts Club has achieved gold distinction in the “Best Social Impact” category at the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2026, organised by Awards International. The honour places the institution among the region’s most accomplished organisations in advancing sustainable community development through sport.
The Gulf Sustainability Awards recognise excellence across the Middle East, evaluating initiatives across 21 distinct categories that encompass environmental stewardship, community impact, governance standards and professional achievement. This recognition reflects FMAC’s comprehensive commitment to social responsibility and institutional excellence.
Nader Abu Shawish, General Manager and Chief Executive of FMAC, attributed this achievement to the visionary leadership and unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and President of Fujairah Martial Arts Club. Mr Abu Shawish emphasised that the award validates the institution’s strategic focus on sport as a vehicle for personal development and community wellbeing.
The club has underscored its commitment to nurturing the next generation of athletes and martial artists, fostering an environment where young people can develop their capabilities whilst internalising the core values of commitment, respect and personal discipline. Through structured programmes and community partnerships, FMAC continues to expand access to martial arts training whilst strengthening collaborative relationships with regional sports organisations.
This accolade serves as encouragement for the institution to deepen its community influence and expand its role in developing sporting talent throughout Fujairah and the broader Gulf region. The recognition affirms that sport, when coupled with sound governance and genuine community investment, becomes a powerful instrument for social progress and institutional distinction.
