Khalifa Award for Education Showcases Excellence at MENA Leadership Forum
The prestigious award, a cornerstone institution of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, demonstrated its vital role in nurturing educational talent across the region at the 7th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum in Dubai.
The Khalifa Award for Education has underscored its significance in cultivating a culture of educational excellence during its participation in the 7th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum, held in Dubai from 28th to 30th September. The gathering, organised by the Centre for Learning Innovations and Customised Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS), brought together prominent figures and specialists from 60 countries to examine higher education’s transformative role in shaping future generations.
As an institution of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, the Award continues to make a substantial impact on the educational ecosystem through its comprehensive range of offerings. Experts highlighted how the initiative identifies and nurtures talent whilst fostering positive outcomes for individuals and communities at local, regional and international scales.
Humaid Al Houti, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, emphasised the significance of the Forum participation, noting that it reflected the philanthropic vision of advancing educational excellence across multiple levels of learning. The Award’s presence attracted considerable interest from academics and education professionals keen to learn about the opportunities available through its 20th edition.
The current cycle encompasses ten fields spanning eighteen categories, with applications remaining open until 31st December, 2026. The scope of recognition is notably broad, encompassing higher education and pre-university sectors alongside the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning—a globally unprecedented initiative that promotes leading scientific and applied approaches to creating stimulating learning environments that nurture childhood creativity.
Among the distinguished fields now open for applications are the Higher Education Field’s Distinguished University Lecturer Category; the Educational Research Field; Innovation in Teaching Arabic Language with its Innovative University Lecturer Category; Innovative Educational Projects and Programmes; Educational Authorship for Children; and the Education and Community Service Field’s Distinguished Emirati Family Category. This final recognition celebrates Emirati families whose educational contributions have meaningfully supported their children’s academic journeys.
