Lady Nara sets sail again as Dubai’s floating French restaurant

Picture yourself stepping aboard a beautifully restored dhow as the Dubai skyline begins to glitter. From Thursday 6 November, Lady Nara, the custom built luxury dhow from Nara Hospitality Group, returns to the water as a floating French restaurant, inspired by the Golden Age of Travel and the flavours of the French Riviera.

Dinner is a sharing style feast drawn from the traditions of Nice, followed by La Bouillabaisse de Joseph and a braised lamb shank, with a seasonal vegetable risotto as an alternative. The recipes carry a family story: Joseph Leblanc, the founder’s grandfather, grew up facing the sea in Nice and dreamed all his life of a dhow of his own.

As the dhow glides along the Dubai Canal, live music fills the deck and a familiar city appears in an entirely new way. “We want people to come for the food and the company, and to leave having seen a familiar city from somewhere new,” says Stephanie Reichenbach, Founder of Nara.
