Masdar City Free Zone and Fazaa Launch Strategic Partnership for Employee Benefits
Abu Dhabi's premier free zone has signed a landmark agreement to offer employees of registered companies access to Fazaa's exclusive membership programmes, marking a first for the emirate's free zone sector.
Masdar City Free Zone has entered into a Services Agreement with Fazaa, establishing a pioneering partnership that extends valuable benefits to the employees of its business community. The accord was formally signed during LIVEX, Abu Dhabi’s inaugural Livability and Investment Exhibition, representing a significant milestone for the free zone’s commitment to comprehensive workforce support.
Through this partnership, eligible employees of Masdar City Free Zone’s registered companies gain access to Fazaa’s Silver, Gold and Platinum membership tiers, unlocking a comprehensive suite of discounts and offerings spanning healthcare, automotive services, health and beauty, dining establishments, furniture, real estate and vehicle rentals. The initiative exemplifies the free zone’s philosophy of simplifying the business environment by extending practical support beyond the corporate sphere.
Ahmed Baghoum, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar City, underscored the agreement’s significance within the free zone’s broader strategy: “We’re a growing free zone, and growth means our business community keeps getting broader and more diverse. Our approach has always been to tailor what we offer to that diversity. This agreement with Fazaa is a benefit our employees will genuinely use, and it adds to a growing portfolio of offerings we provide our business community, alongside our free zone terms, licensing support and sector-specific programmes.”
Ahmed Mohamed Buharoon, General Manager of Fazaa, emphasised the mutual commitment to expanding community benefits: “At Fazaa, the UAE community and our members are at the heart of everything we do. Our partnership with Masdar City Free Zone will enable us to extend these benefits to a wider business community, supporting employees and their families across different aspects of daily life.”
The Fazaa partnership complements Masdar City Free Zone’s established competitive advantages, including 100 per cent foreign ownership provisions, zero personal income tax status, dual licensing capabilities across the free zone and Abu Dhabi mainland, and expedited one-day licensing available to the entire business community. Companies registered within the free zone may register for Fazaa membership through the Free Zone Department Offices.
