MICHELIN Guide’s Fifth Dubai Edition Celebrates 122 Restaurants Spanning 38 Global Cuisines

The prestigious MICHELIN Guide has unveiled its latest Dubai selection, showcasing the emirate's expanding culinary landscape with nearly double the establishments featured at the guide's inception.
The fifth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai was unveiled at a prestigious ceremony held at Atlantis The Royal, marking a significant milestone in the emirate’s gastronomic development. The selection encompasses 122 restaurants representing 38 distinct cuisine types, reflecting the breadth and sophistication of Dubai’s dining scene.
Nineteen new establishments have been welcomed into this year’s selection, including two One MICHELIN Star restaurants, four Bib Gourmands and thirteen MICHELIN-selected venues. The additions underscore a growing trend towards independent culinary concepts and menus carefully calibrated to resonate with local diners, whilst maintaining the international standards that have established Dubai as a dining destination of global significance.
The expansion demonstrates the remarkable trajectory of Dubai’s restaurant sector since the MICHELIN Guide’s inaugural Dubai selection. The current edition now features nearly double the number of establishments that were included when the guide first launched, a testament to the emirate’s sustained investment in culinary excellence and hospitality infrastructure.
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides, reflected on the achievement: “We are delighted to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai today. The selection has grown significantly since its inception and now features nearly twice as many establishments as it did when it was first launched. This remarkable evolution demonstrates that Dubai’s culinary scene continues to thrive, with our Inspectors discovering new internationally acclaimed dining destinations year after year. This year’s combination of homegrown talent and international arrivals reflects a city that is developing its own culinary identity whilst embracing traditions from around the world. The strength of Dubai’s hospitality sector underlines the city’s hunger, passion and determination to enhance its reputation as a global gastronomic destination, giving food lovers compelling reasons to visit and to return.”
The guide’s expanded coverage spans the full spectrum of Dubai’s dining landscape, from neighbourhood establishments cherished by locals to prestigious fine dining destinations that have earned international recognition. This diversity reflects the emirate’s positioning as a culinary crossroads, where established gastronomic traditions intersect with innovative contemporary cuisine.
The unveiling was conducted in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, underscoring the significance of culinary tourism to the emirate’s broader economic and cultural agenda.
