Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award Celebrates Tenth Edition with Dubai Ceremony

The prestigious award honouring excellence in Arabic language development will recognise this year's winners at a ceremony coinciding with the International Conference on the Arabic Language

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, a distinguished initiative under the aegis of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and administered by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, will celebrate the recipients of its tenth edition at an elegant ceremony in Dubai on 28 October. This milestone celebration will unfold alongside the 12th International Conference on the Arabic Language, hosted at Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai from 28 to 30 October.

This landmark edition represents a profound commitment to strengthening Arabic’s integral role within an increasingly dynamic knowledge landscape. The Award places particular emphasis upon the multifaceted dimensions of Arabic language education, application and advancement across the sectors of education, technology, media and culture, ensuring the language continues to flourish and maintain its relevance as knowledge creation and dissemination evolve.

The Award recognises individuals and institutions whose visionary work introduces innovative methodologies to Arabic language instruction and broadens its application within contemporary society. Such endeavours prove instrumental in preserving the rich tapestry of Arab cultural identity whilst enabling Arabic to assume an increasingly prominent position within knowledge creation and the knowledge economy.

Bilal Al Budoor, Secretary General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, articulated the Award’s foundational philosophy: “The Award reflects a strategic vision that recognises Arabic as a fundamental pillar of cultural identity, knowledge, innovation and capability development across different sectors. We are committed to recognising initiatives that expand the use of Arabic, develop new approaches and tools for teaching the language, and strengthen its presence across digital platforms and different areas of development.”

He further emphasised the significance of the forthcoming ceremony: “Honouring the winners of the 10th edition is an opportunity to recognise individuals and institutions whose work is making an impact on the Arabic language. It also reflects our commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to its continued development and expand its presence locally and internationally. Collaboration across education, culture, media and technology is essential to building a stronger future for Arabic and reinforcing Dubai and the UAE’s position as a leading centre for supporting the language and its continued development.”

The tenth edition attracted submissions from individuals and institutions across the globe, each presenting initiatives and projects devoted to advancing Arabic language education, increasing its contemporary application, and expanding its reach across knowledge and cultural domains. The judging committees undertook their evaluation with scrupulous attention to criteria safeguarding both integrity and transparency, with particular regard accorded to the calibre of each initiative and its consequential impact upon Arabic language advancement.
