Museum of the Future attracts 20,000 applications in record 48 hours

Dubai's Museum of the Future has received an overwhelming response to its innovative recruitment initiative, with tens of thousands of candidates seeking roles in the institution's reimagined visitor experience launching in 2027.

Within two days of opening its application portal, Dubai’s Museum of the Future has drawn more than 20,000 completed applications, with the campaign website recording 42,000 visits. The unprecedented response speaks to a broader cultural shift in how talent is identified and nurtured in the region.

The initiative, launched on 21st October 2026, seeks individuals who will form the human core of the Museum’s entirely reimagined visitor experience when doors reopen in 2027. What distinguishes this recruitment process from conventional hiring is its philosophy: rather than prioritising qualifications or industry experience, the Museum places imagination, curiosity, emotional intelligence, warmth and adaptability at the heart of candidate assessment. No previous museum or customer service experience is required.

Azza AlNuaimi, Chief Operating Officer of the Museum of the Future, reflected on the significance of this approach. “The response in the first 48 hours reflects strong interest in career opportunities that recognise human potential beyond what is written on a CV,” she observed. “Dubai has always believed in recognising potential beyond conventional paths, and Future Perfects brings that belief into practice. We believe that what makes someone uniquely human could be exactly what makes them a Future Perfect.”

The recruitment process itself has been designed with rigour and nuance. Applications are progressing through a structured assessment phase, followed by shortlisting and live auditions conducted before an expert judging panel. Those selected will join the Museum’s Visitor Experience team in full-time positions, serving as bridges between visitors and ideas spanning science, technology, nature, society and futures thinking. Their role is to help guests connect meaningfully with the institution’s conceptual landscape through genuine human interaction.

The window for applications remains open until 8th November 2026 through the official portal at Futureperfects.ae, offering further candidates the chance to demonstrate the qualities that define a Future Perfect. This extended timeline reflects the Museum’s commitment to discovering talent across diverse backgrounds and communities, ensuring that the team shaping visitor experiences represents the breadth of human perspective and creativity.
