Ras Al Khaimah and Greater Miami forge enhanced economic partnership
The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formalised strengthened ties with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce through a Letter of Intent, establishing a foundation for expanded bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
A significant milestone in United Arab Emirates-United States commercial relations has been established with the signing of a Letter of Intent between the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. The accord, formalised in Miami on 25th September 2026, represents a deliberate expansion of economic cooperation between these two influential business communities.
Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, and Alfred Sanchez, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, executed the agreement, which was witnessed by Mohammed Abdulla Al Ahbabi, Consul General of the UAE Consulate in Miami, and Dr. Carel Richter, Advisor for International Relations to the Office of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The cooperation framework encompasses a comprehensive approach to facilitating commercial engagement. Participating organisations will exchange essential market and investment intelligence, coordinate business delegations between the emirates and Florida, and foster direct engagement between individual companies seeking to establish or expand bilateral operations.
This development builds strategically upon the Sister City Memorandum of Understanding established between Ras Al Khaimah and the City of Miami in 2025. That foundational agreement has now evolved into a more specific commercial framework, demonstrating sustained commitment to deepening relationships across multiple sectors of mutual economic interest and benefit.
The initiative reflects broader efforts by Ras Al Khaimah to expand its international commercial footprint and strengthen its position as a gateway for Emirati business enterprises seeking North American opportunities. Simultaneously, it provides Greater Miami’s business community with enhanced access to the vibrant commercial ecosystem of the Arabian Gulf region.
