SAKINA explores advanced brain stimulation research in collaboration with PeakLogic
SAKINA, the mental health network under SEHA and PureHealth, has signed an MoU with US firm PeakLogic to investigate personalised repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation alongside spectral EEG analysis.
Partnership to advance personalised neurostimulation
SAKINA, the Abu Dhabi-based mental health network operating under SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, has formalised a research collaboration with US medical technology company PeakLogic. The memorandum of understanding will support clinically governed studies of Personalised Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (PrTMS®) together with PeakLogic’s spectral electroencephalogram (sEEG) analysis.
The joint work will investigate the potential of these technologies to improve diagnosis and treatment across a spectrum of neuropsychiatric and brain‑injury conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), concussion and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). The programme also includes deployment of PeakLogic’s sEEG tools and specialised training for SAKINA teams to enable knowledge exchange and the adoption of evidence‑based practice.
Building on established treatment services
SAKINA already offers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as part of its mental health services. TMS is a non‑invasive, non‑pharmacological therapy commonly used for patients who have not responded to medication, providing an existing clinical foundation for the new collaboration and future trials.

He emphasised that clinically governed research into advanced magnetic stimulation and data‑driven assessment aims to support more precise, personalised care for individuals with complex neuropsychiatric conditions.

Murphy, MD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PeakLogic Inc., described the collaboration as an opportunity to explore the application of PrTMS® for people with autism and other conditions, and to work with SAKINA’s clinical teams to expand access to personalised, data‑centric care across the UAE.
Research and training components
Alongside clinical evaluation of therapeutic efficacy, the agreement provides for training on PeakLogic’s platforms and tools to build local capability in spectral EEG analysis and interpretation. The partners intend the work to contribute to an evidence base that can guide clinical decision‑making and the wider integration of advanced neurostimulation techniques into patient pathways.
The MoU aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader health strategy to adopt innovative, research‑driven approaches to mental health and neurological care, while maintaining clinical governance and patient safety at the core of new interventions.
