Security Incident on Flydubai Flight Successfully Contained, Aircraft Diverted to Saudi Arabia

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that a security matter aboard flydubai flight FZ1073 was swiftly managed, leading to an emergency landing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 30th September.

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced that flydubai flight FZ1073, departing Dubai International Airport en route to Ben Gurion International Airport, encountered a security incident on 30th September, 2026, which was successfully brought under control.

The situation necessitated the diversion of the aircraft to Tabuk Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where it executed an emergency landing. The incident resulted in injuries sustained by certain members of the aircraft crew, who were promptly transported to a hospital in Saudi Arabia for appropriate medical treatment.

The GCAA has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of all passengers and crew members, underscoring these principles as paramount considerations within civil aviation operations. The Authority’s dedicated investigation teams are collaborating closely with relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive examination into the incident, including detailed analysis of operational protocols and security procedures.
