Sharjah celebrates 85 students who have memorised the Holy Quran
The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment honoured 85 students for completing their memorisation of the Quran at the third annual Hafiz Al Quran Award ceremony, underscoring the emirate's commitment to Islamic education and cultural values.
The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment held an inspiring ceremonial gathering to recognise 85 of its students who successfully completed their memorisation of the Holy Quran during 2025, fulfilling all conditions required for the memorisation certificate. The event, hosted at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, represents the third consecutive year of the Hafiz Al Quran Award for the Establishment’s students, reflecting the institution’s unwavering dedication to honouring Quranic scholarship.
Presided over by Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, the ceremony embodied Sharjah’s profound commitment to Islamic learning and cultural preservation. The programme commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by Quranic recitations and a visual presentation documenting the Establishment’s journey in serving the Book of God Almighty and nurturing its memorisers.
An Annual Celebration of Achievement
In his address, Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk emphasised the significance of celebrating these accomplished memorisers, describing the occasion as blessed recognition of students who approached the Quran with genuine enthusiasm and determination. He acknowledged the collective efforts of families, educators and supervisors whose support proved instrumental in guiding students towards this distinguished achievement. The award ceremony, he noted, represents the culmination of sincere dedication and celebrates the accomplishments of both male and female memorisers.
Growing Momentum in Quranic Education
Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk highlighted the remarkable expansion of the Establishment’s Quranic programmes across Sharjah. Operating circles within mosques throughout the emirate alongside private centres and schools, the institution now serves over 36,000 students in Quran circles, with an additional 18,000 enrolled in private educational facilities. These figures demonstrate substantial growth in community participation and widespread commitment to Quranic learning amongst citizens and residents of all ages.
The results of these educational efforts are notably impressive. During the previous year, 715 students achieved complete memorisation of the Holy Quran, whilst 329 students successfully passed the Establishment’s examinations and obtained formal certification as memorisers. Across all learning circles, students collectively memorised approximately 45,000 Quranic chapters, reflecting the considerable dedication devoted to teaching and mastering Quranic knowledge.

Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk emphasised that the Establishment’s achievements reflect the visionary leadership and generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Under his sustained support, the emirate has established its prominent position in serving the Quran and Islamic sciences, with the leadership demonstrating unwavering commitment to nurturing young generations and consolidating authentic Islamic values throughout society.
The Chairman underscored that the UAE’s rational leadership has established service to the Quran and the Sunnah, alongside advancing science and culture, as fundamental pillars in building human potential and fostering societal renaissance. The Establishment remains steadfast in fulfilling its mission through continued expansion of Quranic memorisation programmes, educational circles and institutional support for learners across all demographics.
