Sharjah Economic Development Department Explores Strategic Partnership with Talabat

The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has convened discussions with Talabat, the prominent regional delivery platform, to identify mutually beneficial opportunities for cooperation and advancement of the business sector across the emirate.
The strategic meeting centred on practical mechanisms to sustain business operations whilst maintaining full compliance with Sharjah’s regulatory framework and legislative requirements. Officials explored how both organisations can work synergistically to enhance operational efficiency and support the broader economic development agenda of the emirate.
Key areas of focus included coordination frameworks between the two entities, alongside support mechanisms and facilities designed to strengthen the business environment, promote sustainable enterprise practices, and streamline procedural efficiency. These initiatives align with shared objectives to advance Sharjah’s competitive standing and foster entrepreneurial prosperity.
Khalid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Commercial and Industrial Development Department at SEDD, underscored the strategic importance of building communication channels and collaborative relationships across the commercial sector. He observed that such dialogues facilitate the identification of partnership opportunities that enhance the emirate’s business landscape and institutional capacity.
“SEDD remains committed to establishing effective partnerships with diverse entities to strengthen our business environment and enhance Sharjah’s competitive position,” Al Suwaidi stated. “Cooperation with Talabat represents a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives and develop joint initiatives that serve business proprietors and address the dynamic evolution of the services sector and digital commerce platforms.”
