Sharjah’s Premier Watch and Jewellery Showcase Opens with Distinguished Patronage

The 58th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show has opened in Sharjah, bringing together over 500 exhibitors from 19 countries for the region's most significant specialised jewellery trade event.

The 58th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show has opened in Sharjah under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition will welcome visitors through 4 October across an impressive 30,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The show represents the largest specialised jewellery trade event on both the UAE and regional calendar, drawing participation from more than 500 exhibitors representing 19 countries. International pavilions from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore and Thailand sit alongside a comprehensive collection of international brands, jewellery houses and specialist companies, creating a marketplace of exceptional breadth and quality.

During his tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Abdullah engaged extensively with participating companies and brands, examining the craftsmanship traditions and design innovations on display. His visit encompassed discussions on manufacturing and design technologies, contemporary trends in the gold and jewellery sectors, and the latest market developments across local, regional and global spheres.

Of particular significance was the Deputy Ruler’s visit to the Emirati Goldsmiths stand, which showcases the work of leading Emirati female designers. Their collections blend traditional Emirati heritage with contemporary design approaches, representing the forefront of innovation in modern jewellery creation. The stand exemplifies how cultural heritage and creative excellence converge within the sector.

The Sharjah Business Women Council’s participation further reflects the event’s commitment to inclusive representation and the advancement of women entrepreneurs within the jewellery and luxury goods industries.

The Deputy Ruler was accompanied during his visit by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Chief Executive of Expo Centre Sharjah; Mohammed Ahmed Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber; members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; government officials; and representatives of participating nations.
