Sharjah’s Values Initiative Expands with Gratitude-Focused Campaign

The 'Impact Begins with a Value' programme launches its second instalment, exploring gratitude through engaging storytelling and animation for young learners across the emirate.
Sharjah continues to champion character development in early childhood education through the ‘Impact Begins with a Value’ campaign, an initiative spearheaded by the Media Office of the Sharjah Family and Community Council. The second video in this innovative series focuses on cultivating gratitude and examining its profound influence on children’s behaviour and daily lives.
The campaign’s inaugural instalment achieved considerable reach, engaging 2,073 children across 36 nurseries operated by the Sharjah Education Academy, alongside involvement from over 6,700 participants at 14 children’s centres throughout Sharjah. The first video, which centred on the value of honesty, has enjoyed sustained broadcast across the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s channels and the Majid platform, part of the Abu Dhabi Media Network.
This educational endeavour demonstrates exemplary institutional collaboration, drawing support from the Sharjah Education Academy and its affiliated nurseries, alongside ‘Sharjah Children’ initiatives under Rubu’ Qarn. The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority and Majid channel provide essential media infrastructure, creating a unified approach that combines educational expertise with broadcasting excellence to amplify the campaign’s message and extend its influence amongst younger audiences.
The pedagogical methodology underlying the initiative distinguishes itself through its sophistication and appeal. Rather than employing didactic approaches, the programme translates abstract philosophical concepts into tangible, relatable behaviours through carefully crafted storytelling, original compositions, and animated sequences. This multisensory engagement encourages organic learning and authentic value internalisation amongst participants.
Looking ahead, additional videos are scheduled for release, ensuring sustained momentum in this vital character-building initiative. The programme exemplifies Sharjah’s commitment to comprehensive child development, recognising that foundational values established during early childhood education create enduring frameworks for ethical citizenship and social responsibility throughout subsequent life stages.
