Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Appoints New Leadership for Dubai Humanitarian Authority

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued a formal decree establishing fresh governance for the emirate's humanitarian operations.

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister, has issued Decree No. (26) of 2026 concerning the governance structure of the Dubai Humanitarian Authority.

Under the provisions of the decree, Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita has been appointed to serve as Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Humanitarian Authority, succeeding Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani in the position.

The appointment represents a significant development in the leadership of Dubai’s humanitarian sector, reflecting the emirate’s continued commitment to ensuring effective stewardship of its charitable and humanitarian operations. The Dubai Humanitarian Authority plays a vital role in coordinating and advancing the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives and charitable endeavours.

The decree comes into effect from the date of its formal issuance and will be registered in the Official Gazette, ensuring full transparency and legal certainty regarding the administrative change.
