Sheikh Theyab Inaugurates New Headquarters of Erth Zayed Philanthropies
A landmark facility opens in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone for the network of 14 affiliated organisations advancing the philanthropic vision of the UAE's Founding Father.
His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, has officially inaugurated the new headquarters of Erth Zayed Philanthropies in Abu Dhabi.
The occasion represented a defining moment for an institution dedicated to perpetuating the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates. During the ceremony, His Highness and members of the Board of Trustees were afforded a comprehensive tour of the facilities, examining the workspaces and learning about the systems and infrastructure that underpin the foundation’s global operations.
Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary-General of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, reflected on the significance of the opening: “This inauguration marks an important milestone in the journey of Erth Zayed Philanthropies and in building the institutional foundations for our next chapter. From here, we will continue to work with our affiliates and partners to strengthen collaboration, bring together expertise and resources, and advance philanthropic efforts that respond to the needs of communities around the world.”
Erth Zayed Philanthropies unites a network of fourteen affiliated organisations sharing a common purpose: to advance sustainable solutions across health, education, agriculture and food security, economic empowerment, environmental conservation, and cultural engagement. Operating from its Abu Dhabi headquarters, the network extends its reach across more than one hundred countries, drawing upon decades of accumulated expertise in philanthropic, humanitarian, and development endeavours.
The scale of the network’s impact is remarkable. Across its portfolio of 269 programmes and initiatives, Erth Zayed Philanthropies and its partners have reached more than 130 million people worldwide, protected 1,789 species, and maintain endowments totalling AED6.4 billion. Member organisations include the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, the Global Institute for Disease Elimination, Zayed for Good Foundation, Khalifa Foundation, Emirates Foundation, and the International Fund for Houbara Conservation, amongst others.
