Sheikha Latifa Witnesses Historic Leadership Partnership Between Dubai and Global Institutions

The Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development has forged groundbreaking collaborations with Seoul National University and Peking University to advance international understanding of exemplary governance and visionary management.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, graced the signing of two significant memoranda of understanding during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, an esteemed annual convocation bringing together one thousand prominent figures from Dubai’s governmental and commercial spheres.

The agreements, concluded between the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development and two internationally celebrated institutions, Seoul National University in South Korea and Peking University in China, represent a momentous stride in elevating leadership discourse on the global stage. These partnerships are designed to establish a distinctive series of Dubai Leadership Research, drawing inspiration from the visionary stewardship and administrative acumen of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The research initiative will furnish comprehensive case studies tailored for Master of Business Administration and executive education programmes, positioning the leadership philosophy of His Highness as an exemplary model studied across prestigious academic institutions worldwide. The endeavour aspires to establish this distinctive approach as an authoritative global reference for inspirational governance and strategic decision-making.

Saeed Al Eter, Director-General of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, formalised the agreements on behalf of the Centre, whilst Professor Jun-Ki Kim, Executive Vice President of Seoul National University and Professor at its Graduate School of Public Administration, and Professor Young Joon Park, Associate Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School, represented their respective institutions.

The collaborative framework will integrate Dubai case studies into educational curricula at both universities, affording direct exposure to hundreds of students and executive leaders in each academic cohort. Furthermore, the Dubai Leadership Research will be disseminated through The Case Centre, reaching over five hundred business schools across more than ninety nations, thereby influencing tens of thousands of scholars and practitioners annually. Publication in the Harvard Business Review will extend its reach to more than ten million readers globally, amplifying its resonance amongst industry practitioners and thought leaders.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and of the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development, underscored that Dubai exemplifies an extraordinary paradigm of comprehensive development founded upon innovation, courageous initiative and resolute decision-making. He affirmed that these collaborative ventures embody the Centre’s commitment to advancing leadership philosophy and preparing future leaders equipped with the intellectual rigour to navigate global transformation with unprecedented efficacy.

Seoul National University, South Korea’s preeminent national institution, stands internationally recognised for its scholarly excellence and its role in cultivating generations of distinguished leaders across government, diplomacy, academia and industry. Its Graduate School of Public Administration achieves eighth position globally in Social Policy and Administration within the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2025. Peking University, established in 1898 as China’s inaugural comprehensive national university, likewise represents one of the nation’s most venerable and accomplished institutions, with its HSBC Business School providing sophisticated programmes in economics, finance and management, infusing international perspectives with deep understanding of China’s economic landscape.
