The 15th SMK Tennis Tournament marks a significant moment for the competition as it opens its doors to regional participation on an unprecedented scale. Running from 6 to 20 November 2026, the tournament will welcome players from Saudi Arabia and Qatar for the first time, joining their Emirati counterparts in a series of ladies’ singles and doubles matches.
This expansion reflects the growing momentum of women’s tennis across the Gulf region and the tournament’s commitment to fostering competitive excellence and regional sporting ties. The inclusion of international competitors alongside established Emirati players promises to elevate the standard of play whilst creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to test their skills on a broader stage.
The fortnight long competition represents a continuation of the SMK Tennis Tournament’s established tradition of promoting women’s tennis in the Emirates, now enriched by the cross border participation that speaks to the region’s collaborative sporting spirit.
