As Asia's energy companies gather in unprecedented numbers at Abu Dhabi's premier petroleum conference, SENKO presents sophisticated gas detection systems designed to safeguard industrial operations across the region.
Within the bustling halls of ADIPEC 2026, where global energy leaders converge to chart the course of tomorrow’s industrial landscape, South Korean company SENKO has unveiled a suite of gas detection technologies engineered for the demanding requirements of modern petroleum and industrial facilities. The company’s presence at the conference reflects a broader momentum as Asia records its strongest-ever presence at ADIPEC 2026 with 353 companies and six country pavilions.
Central to SENKO’s exhibition is the SP-MGTP, a portable multi-gas detector of considerable sophistication. The device monitors up to six gases simultaneously, with 37 possible gas combinations available, and includes capacity for volatile organic compound detection. Its continuous monitoring extends across oxygen, toxic and flammable gases, transmitting real-time alerts through LED indicators, audible alarms, and vibration signals, ensuring operators remain informed in dynamic industrial environments.
Complementing this offering is the DUO TRACER, a portable dual-gas detector that identifies two gases in tandem, presenting real-time data and a multi-alert system tailored for detecting oxygen, explosive, or toxic gases. Donghan Kim, SENKO’s Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa, emphasised that both products harness Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, enabling seamless integration with computer systems for data logging, performance monitoring, and technical status verification.
The company’s approach extends beyond standardised solutions. SENKO designs and manufactures customised detection devices to meet particular customer requirements and project specifications, recognising that industrial safety demands precision calibrated to individual operational contexts. Within the UAE specifically, the company has registered its products with ADNOC and currently supplies gas detection equipment for use aboard ADNOC vessels, reflecting the trust placed in its technological capabilities.
What it means for Abu Dhabi
SENKO’s participation at ADIPEC 2026 underscores Abu Dhabi’s position as a global nexus for energy innovation and safety advancement. The company’s presence, alongside the record participation of Asian firms in ADIPEC 2026, which opened Monday with 40 ministers, 239,000 attendees and 2,260 exhibitors, demonstrates the emirate’s role in attracting technologies that enhance operational excellence across the region’s energy sector.
For Abu Dhabi’s industrial operations, particularly those involving ADNOC’s maritime activities, the deployment of SENKO’s sophisticated detection systems contributes to the highest standards of workplace safety and operational integrity. This partnership between South Korean technological expertise and Abu Dhabi’s energy infrastructure exemplifies the collaborative relationships that strengthen both regional and global energy security.
