Specialist Memory and Brain Health Services Expand Across the UAE
A strategic partnership between M42's healthcare divisions and international expertise brings comprehensive neurological care closer to patients throughout the Emirates
A significant collaboration has been established to enhance access to specialised memory and brain health services across the United Arab Emirates. Mubadala Health Dubai and Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre have partnered with Re:Cognition Health, a distinguished healthcare organisation, to deliver integrated neurological care spanning assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing patient support.
The partnership was formalised during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit, marking Re:Cognition Health’s inaugural clinical presence within the region. Initial services have commenced at Mubadala Health Dubai, with expansion to Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre in Al Ain to follow in subsequent phases. This coordinated approach establishes a seamless pathway through which patients can access comprehensive care without requiring multiple referrals or fragmented treatment journeys.
The collaboration brings together Re:Cognition Health’s established expertise in memory disorders, cognitive assessment, neurodegenerative conditions and neurodevelopmental conditions within M42’s multidisciplinary clinical infrastructure and advanced imaging capabilities. This integration enables clinicians to draw upon sophisticated diagnostic methodologies, including magnetic resonance imaging, molecular imaging techniques and specialist laboratory analysis, to support accurate diagnosis and individualised care planning.
For patients presenting with memory concerns or cognitive impairment, the service pathway commences with specialist consultation and comprehensive clinical assessment. Where clinically appropriate, the care team may recommend advanced investigations to establish diagnosis. Treatment planning is subsequently tailored to each patient’s specific circumstances, medical history and clinical eligibility.
The partnership encompasses treatment approaches for early Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative conditions, subject to clinical assessment and established regulatory requirements. Patients receiving such treatments will benefit from specialist oversight and comprehensive safety monitoring throughout their care journey. The collaboration will additionally introduce neurodevelopmental services in phases, commencing with telemedicine consultations in Dubai to support assessment and management of conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum conditions.
Dr. Moza Ajaif Al Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Health Dubai, emphasised the significance of timely specialist assessment and coordinated care pathways. Dr. Laila Abdelwareth, Chief Executive Officer of Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre, highlighted how molecular imaging capabilities will support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients throughout the Abu Dhabi region.
