Tadweer debuts bilingual sustainability storybooks at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Tadweer Group is offering a four‑title Arabic and English series at ADIBF 2026, following a summer of outreach that reached nearly 3,900 participants across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
Toys with a purpose: stories that teach recycling and resource care
Tadweer Group has made its bilingual Sustainability Awareness Storybooks available for public sale at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026 after a community rollout across the emirate. The four illustrated titles, produced in Arabic and English for different age groups, are designed to introduce children to recycling, waste segregation and wider concepts of environmental responsibility.
The series supported 48 interactive activities during June and July 2026, staged across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. According to Tadweer, those sessions engaged 3,895 participants at educational, healthcare, cultural and community venues, extending environmental learning beyond the classroom to reach children and families in diverse settings.
Each title combines guided storytelling with hands‑on components: discussions, waste‑sorting exercises, recycling activities, games and creative tasks that encourage children to practise what they learn. The four books — “Nora the Smart Truck”, “The Green Mission”, “Layla and the Small Bottle” and “Zayed and the Green Pearl” — address correct waste handling, segregation, plastic‑waste reduction and the importance of conserving natural resources.
Abdulwahed Juma, Executive Director of Communications and Awareness at Tadweer Group, emphasised that while infrastructure is vital to a circular economy, changing behaviours depends on understanding. He described the storybooks as an investment in the next generation that aims to alter how children view waste and influence everyday choices at home, at school and in community life.
The books are sold from Tadweer Group’s corner at Dar Al Mulhimeen Publishing & Distribution’s stand in Hall 4, Stand 4B05 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The fair runs from 13 to 18 September, with the stand open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering visitors the chance to buy the collection and take part in related activities.
This publishing initiative forms part of Tadweer Group’s broader efforts to strengthen environmental understanding and community participation. It also supports Abu Dhabi’s transition towards a circular economy and Tadweer’s target to divert 80% of municipal solid waste away from landfill by 2031.
