Tamer Hosny and Tamer Ashour bring Arabic music’s finest to Abu Dhabi

Two of the Arab world's most celebrated singers perform live at Etihad Arena on Yas Island this October.

The convergence of two of Arabic music’s most revered contemporary voices at a single venue represents a rare and significant occasion in the entertainment calendar. When Tamer Hosny and Tamer Ashour take the stage at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, audiences will witness an evening shaped by two distinct yet equally commanding artistic legacies within modern Arabic popular music.

Tamer Hosny stands among the most prolific and commercially successful recording artists in the Arab world. The Egyptian singer, composer and actor has maintained an extraordinarily consistent presence across multiple decades, with a catalogue encompassing pop ballads, upbeat contemporary tracks and deeply personal compositions that have resonated across generational lines. His influence extends beyond music into cinema and television, establishing him as a comprehensive entertainer whose reach spans the entire Arabic speaking region and diaspora communities worldwide. Hosny’s vocal style, characterised by emotional depth and technical precision, has earned him a devoted following that responds to both his introspective material and his more celebratory offerings.

Tamer Ashour brings a complementary artistic sensibility to the bill. As an accomplished vocalist and performer, Ashour has cultivated recognition for interpretative sophistication and a refined approach to Arabic musical traditions. His performances carry a distinctive elegance, drawing audiences into narratives both romantic and contemplative. The pairing of these two artists creates a dialogue between different interpretations of contemporary Arabic music, each bringing their own perspective to the genre’s evolving landscape.
