The Orchestra Comes to School

This is what Abu Dhabi Festival offers through its Back to School programme, a partnership with the Ministry of Education that recognises music not as an ornament to education, but as essential to it.

On 22 October, musicians from the UAE National Orchestra stepped into Madinat Zayed Public School and performed for students gathered to experience something beyond their everyday curriculum. This is the Festival’s quiet purpose: to bring the working artists of its calendar directly into the classrooms and minds of young people who might otherwise never sit in the presence of a full orchestra.

The programme nurtures something fragile and necessary. Creativity, curiosity, emotional expression.
