TITIZÉ, A Venetian Dream Comes to Dubai Opera

Compagnia Finzi Pasca's enchanting production of acrobatics, theatre and live music transforms Dubai Opera into a dreamlike Venetian realm.

The enchanting world of Venice is about to materialise on the Dubai Opera stage in a production that transcends the boundaries of conventional theatre. TITIZÉ, A Venetian Dream, created by the acclaimed Italian company Compagnia Finzi Pasca, represents a singular fusion of acrobatics, physical theatre, clowning and live music that promises to transport audiences into a realm where the everyday rules of gravity and narrative seem delightfully suspended. This is a work that sits at the luminous intersection of circus artistry, dramatic storytelling and dreamlike visual spectacle, crafted for those who seek theatre that challenges, delights and elevates the spirit.

The production draws its creative vision from the layered mysteries of Venice itself, channelling the city’s romantic heritage, its cryptic characters and its deeply held cultural memories into a performance that unfolds as a series of breathtaking moments. Ten gifted performers will inhabit the stage as interpreters of these Venetian stories, their bodies and voices weaving together a tapestry that is by turns humorous, poignant, astonishing and transcendent. The show has captivated more than one hundred thousand spectators across the world, earning its place as a work of genuine artistic significance.

What distinguishes TITIZÉ from conventional theatrical offerings is its refusal to remain contained within a single artistic discipline. The gravity defying acrobatic sequences sit alongside intimate moments of clowning and character work. Aerial artistry punctuates the action with moments of sublime beauty. The live musical accompaniment weaves throughout, deepening the emotional resonance of what unfolds. The visual design creates a stage environment that feels less like a traditional theatre setting and more like an immersive realm where the boundaries between dream and reality have become wonderfully permeable. Every element serves the larger vision of transporting the audience beyond the familiar into something more mysterious and profound.

What is TITIZÉ, A Venetian Dream?

TITIZÉ is a theatrical production that defies easy categorisation. Born from the creative vision of Compagnia Finzi Pasca, a company known for its distinctive blend of contemporary circus arts and theatrical narrative, the work occupies a unique space in the landscape of performance. It is neither purely a circus show nor a traditional play, but rather a carefully orchestrated synthesis of multiple performance traditions. The production distils the essence of Venice not through literal representation but through an abstract language of movement, humour, music and visual spectacle. Each element has been deliberately chosen to evoke the spirit and mysteries of the Venetian experience.
