UAE Condemns Israeli Military Operations in Syrian Territory

The United Arab Emirates has issued a formal statement rejecting Israeli excavation and construction activities in Syrian lands, reaffirming its commitment to regional stability and international law.

The United Arab Emirates has issued a forthright condemnation of Israeli military operations involving excavation, bulldozing and fortification construction within Syrian territory, specifically in the area designated as the “Sufa 53 line.”

In a statement released through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE emphasised its categorical rejection of any infringement upon Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Ministry underscored that such actions represent a manifest violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which establishes binding obligations upon Israel to respect established boundaries and security arrangements.

The UAE reiterated its steadfast position regarding Syria’s stability and territorial preservation, expressing profound solidarity with the Syrian people. The statement affirmed the nation’s support for comprehensive efforts directed towards realising Syrian aspirations for security, peace, human dignity, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called upon the international community to intervene decisively to cease Israel’s recurring military incursions into Syrian territory. The statement emphasised the imperative of preventing further escalation that could intensify regional tensions and jeopardise both regional and international peace and security.

The UAE’s position reflects its broader commitment to upholding international law, respecting national sovereignty and promoting stability throughout the Middle East region. Through this statement, the Emirates reiterated its principled stance on respecting established international agreements and the paramount importance of peaceful dispute resolution.
