The UAE Council for Integrative Medicine has signed eight strategic agreements during Al Shifaa Summit for Integrative Medicine 2026, marking a significant step forward in the development of shared initiatives across the sector.
The agreements encompass three principal areas of collaboration: education and workforce development, research and innovation, and clinical integration. Through these partnerships, the council seeks to establish a foundation for advancing integrative medicine practice and deepening professional expertise across the Emirates.
The summit served as a platform for stakeholders to align on priorities for the future of integrative medicine, bringing together practitioners, researchers and institutional leaders to explore new methodologies and approaches to patient care. The emphasis on workforce development reflects a commitment to ensuring that practitioners possess the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high standards of care.
By fostering collaborative research and innovation initiatives, the agreements position the UAE as a centre for advancement in integrative medical practice. The focus on clinical integration underscores the importance of seamlessly incorporating integrative approaches into existing healthcare frameworks, ensuring cohesion across treatment methodologies.
These strategic partnerships represent a coordinated effort to establish sustainable structures that will support the evolution of integrative medicine in the region for years to come.
