The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has successfully prevented a significant narcotics smuggling operation, intercepting 16.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine concealed within a vehicle tyre at one of the UAE’s land border crossings.
The discovery was achieved through the coordinated efforts of customs inspectors from the General Directorate of Ports Security and specialists from the Customs and Security Support Department. Customs officials became alert to irregularities as the vehicle passed through advanced scanning systems during routine border processing.
