AL ARISH, 16th September, 2026 (WAM) — The UAE Floating Hospital moored off Al Arish received 11 new patients and injured people evacuated from the Gaza Strip on 16 September as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. The arrivals follow the reopening of the Rafah crossing and bring the total number of patients treated by the facility to 115.

Specialised medical and nursing teams carried out initial assessments and examinations on arrival and have prepared individual treatment plans for each patient. The hospital continues to deploy qualified personnel and advanced equipment to provide specialised healthcare services to those transferred from Gaza.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian and medical response aimed at supporting the Palestinian people and addressing urgent healthcare needs arising from the conflict. The mission includes the provision of emergency treatment, surgical care where needed, and clinical follow-up to stabilise and rehabilitate patients transferred to the floating facility.

The UAE Floating Hospital’s reception of additional cases reflects the logistical coordination between international and regional authorities that has enabled medical evacuations through the Rafah crossing.
