UAE Foreign Minister Advances Bilateral Ties with Antigua and Barbuda at UN Assembly

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held discussions with the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda at UNGA81, focusing on economic cooperation and mutual development priorities.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has met with Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The bilateral meeting centred on strengthening cooperation between the two nations across multiple sectors. Discussions encompassed economic engagement, trade relations and tourism development, alongside other areas aligned with the development aspirations of both countries.

His Highness underscored the UAE’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Antigua and Barbuda, emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing mutual interests and fostering prosperity for both nations and their peoples.

The deliberations also addressed substantive matters featuring on the agenda of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, reflecting the broader international context in which bilateral relations operate.

The UAE delegation included Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; and Omar Shehadeh, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Caribbean and Pacific States, underscoring the multifaceted nature of the engagement.
