UAE Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Relations with Israeli Counterpart

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in constructive dialogue with Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, addressing bilateral ties and regional developments whilst expressing concern for passengers affected by a flight security incident.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Gideon Sa’ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, on 30th September to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and exchange perspectives on regional developments.

The dialogue reflected the commitment of both nations to constructive engagement and the advancement of mutual interests. During the call, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah made enquiries regarding the wellbeing of passengers aboard a flydubai flight operating from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport, which encountered a security incident that was subsequently brought under control.

Demonstrating the compassionate leadership characteristic of the UAE, H.H. conveyed his wishes for the continued health and welfare of those aboard the aircraft and extended his greetings to their families. The exchange underscored the UAE’s dedication to the safety and security of all travellers utilising its aviation infrastructure whilst maintaining open and respectful channels of communication with regional partners.
