UAE President Invited to Attend Second GCC–EU Summit in Saudi Arabia

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a formal invitation from Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to attend the historic diplomatic gathering this October.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to attend the Second GCC–EU Summit. The Kingdom will host the significant diplomatic gathering this October.

The formal message was conveyed to Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, during discussions held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi. The Saudi Ambassador to the UAE, Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Luwaihan Al-Anqari, delivered the invitation during the bilateral meeting.

The two officials took the opportunity to explore enhanced cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, reflecting the strategic importance both sides place on the forthcoming summit. Discussions centred on the potential for deepening ties and fostering productive dialogue across the GCC and EU member states, with both parties expressing optimism for a successful gathering.

The Second GCC–EU Summit represents a significant milestone in regional and international relations, providing a platform for advancing shared interests and addressing matters of mutual concern.
