UAE Team Emirates-XRG Maintains Podium Position at CRO Race

Belgian cyclist Tim Wellens secured third place on the demanding Queen stage as UAE Team Emirates-XRG continues to press for overall honours in Croatia.

UAE Team Emirates-XRG demonstrated continued competitive prowess at the CRO Race in Croatia, with Belgian rider Tim Wellens delivering an impressive performance on the Queen stage between Krk and Labin. Wellens crossed the line in third place on stage 3, elevating himself to third position in the general classification standings.

The stage proved fiercely contested in its closing kilometres, with Wellels vying for victory amongst an elite trio of riders. Denmark’s Tobias Svarre of Uno-X Mobility and Italy’s Antonio Tiberi of Bahrain Victorious completed the leading group, both demonstrating the calibre of competition characterising this year’s edition.

Following stage 3 of the Croatian stage race, Svarre currently leads the general classification with a cumulative time of 10:50:58. Tiberi occupies second place, trailing by four seconds, whilst Wellens maintains striking proximity to the leader’s jersey, positioned just eight seconds adrift in the third slot.

With three stages remaining in Croatia, UAE Team Emirates-XRG continues to mount a serious challenge for the overall title. The team’s tactical discipline and individual rider strength have proved instrumental in their sustained competitive position, positioning them favourably as the race reaches its decisive phases.
