Sharjah Asset Management Champions Breast Cancer Awareness with Community Screening Event
Sharjah Asset Management partners with Pink Caravan to deliver free clinical examinations and mammograms at Souq Al Jubail, reinforcing the emirate's commitment to preventive healthcare during Pink October.
Sharjah Asset Management, the investment division of the Government of Sharjah, is advancing its dedication to community health by hosting a comprehensive breast cancer awareness initiative on 9 October at Souq Al Jubail. Running from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the event represents a meaningful contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, commonly celebrated as Pink October.
In partnership with Pink Caravan, the event will provide members of the community access to complimentary breast cancer screening services. A specialised medical team will conduct clinical examinations and mammograms, offering early detection opportunities at no cost to participants. Beyond clinical services, the programme will feature an array of educational sessions and awareness activities designed to underscore the critical importance of prevention strategies and consistent screening protocols.
Salim Al Midfa, Chief Officer of Corporate Communications and Customer Experience at Sharjah Asset Management, emphasised the organisation’s foundational commitment: “Supporting the health of our community is an important aspect of our commitment to social responsibility. We believe that awareness and early detection are two fundamental pillars of preventive healthcare. Through our collaboration with Pink Caravan, we are committed to making these awareness and medical services easily accessible to members of the community, encouraging regular screenings and fostering a stronger culture of health awareness and prevention.”
The initiative specifically aims to engage women aged 25 and above, encouraging proactive health management and leveraging the early detection services available throughout the event. By removing barriers to access and fostering community participation, Sharjah Asset Management seeks to amplify the message of health consciousness and preventive care across the emirate.
This collaborative effort underscores the broader commitment within the United Arab Emirates to advancing public health infrastructure and ensuring that residents have opportunities to take informed, preventive steps towards wellness.
