Sharjah Investment Forum 2026 Convenes Over 80 Global Leaders to Examine Economic Resilience

The ninth Sharjah Investment Forum will bring together prominent business figures and policymakers to explore how economies build adaptive capacity and respond to technological and market transformation.
The ninth Sharjah Investment Forum will take place on 14–15 October at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, uniting more than 80 speakers and an expected 10,000 participants from over 60 countries to examine the foundations of economic resilience. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, will deliver the keynote address, whilst Mohamed Alabbar, Founder and Director of Emaar Properties, will participate in a fireside chat exploring leadership amid continuous change.
Structured around the theme “Building Adaptive Economies,” the forum’s programme examines the critical factors that enable economies to respond effectively to transformation. These include policy frameworks that maintain equilibrium between agility and stability, international trade partnerships that broaden market access, diversified supply chains with alternative routes to market, technologies that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, and destinations that attract people, businesses and capital investment.
Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), emphasised the forum’s significance: “As the global economy changes, businesses are reconsidering where to grow and whom to grow with. This year’s speakers bring perspectives shaped by markets around the world. When those perspectives come together at SIF, they can reveal where emerging global needs meet the emirate’s strengths and spark partnerships and projects that begin here, in Sharjah.”
The programme encompasses comprehensive discussions on international trade and supply chain resilience, featuring leaders from Etihad Rail Freight and insights into Khorfakkan Port’s strategic importance as a regional trade and logistics hub. Sessions on integrated development will explore Sharjah’s approach to sustainable urban growth, whilst a dedicated panel will examine real estate as an economic driver, addressing investment demand, market regulation and transparency.
Additional sessions will address agricultural sustainability and food security, artificial intelligence applications across government and business, and the evolving preferences of global capital markets. British entrepreneur Simon Squibb will lead a session on thriving amid disruption, whilst Indian entrepreneur Varun Mayya will deliver a keynote on investing in future economic opportunities.
Dedicated business meetings will facilitate networking between investors, companies and decision-makers, fostering exploration of partnership, expansion and investment opportunities. The forum is organised by the Sharjah FDI Office in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Investment.
