SEWA Completes 870 Water Connections Across Sharjah in Third Quarter

The Water and Gas Authority has successfully fulfilled a substantial surge in service provision, connecting 870 new applications to Sharjah's water infrastructure, demonstrating continued investment in the emirate's expanding communities.
The Water and Gas Authority in Sharjah has announced the successful completion of water connections for 870 new applications throughout the third quarter of 2026, reflecting the authority’s commitment to meeting the evolving infrastructure needs of the emirate’s diverse sectors.
Engineer Faisal Al Serkal, Head of the Water Department at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, oversaw this substantial undertaking, which encompassed a comprehensive range of consumer categories. The residential sector accounted for 290 connections serving residential villas, whilst the commercial sector benefited from 304 new connections, demonstrating robust activity across Sharjah’s thriving business community. The industrial sector received 141 connections, supporting the emirate’s continued economic development and manufacturing capabilities.
Beyond these primary classifications, the authority’s third quarter performance extended to encompass connections for temporary structures, government buildings and agricultural facilities, illustrating the breadth and sophistication of SEWA’s service delivery across all facets of Sharjah’s infrastructure landscape. This multifaceted approach underscores the authority’s dedication to supporting residential growth, commercial expansion, industrial advancement and essential public services with equal diligence and expertise.
