October at 421 Arts Campus: A Month of Artistic Revelation and Creative Dialogue

As autumn arrives in Abu Dhabi, 421 Arts Campus opens its doors to a month of profound artistic expression and meaningful engagement. The campus welcomes visitors into a carefully curated experience that celebrates contemporary creativity whilst honouring cultural traditions and fostering community connection.
The month commences with two compelling new exhibitions. Juma Alhaj presents ‘Revelation’, an immersive artistic statement, whilst Deniz Kirkali and Elham Puriya Mehr collaborate on ‘Archipelago of Whispers’, an evocative exploration of collective memory and storytelling. Both exhibitions anchor an extensive programme of events and discussions designed to deepen our understanding of contemporary artistic practice.
The campus extends a warm welcome to returning programmes that have become cherished fixtures within the cultural landscape. ‘Tatreez Circle’ welcomes Joanna Barakat to lead intimate conversations around traditional embroidery practices and their contemporary resonance, whilst ‘A Writing Practice’ with Sarah Afaneh invites participants to engage with the written word as a form of creative expression and personal discovery.
For families and younger audiences, 421 Arts Campus offers a hands-on workshop inspired by the sculptural works of Saloua Choucair, allowing children to explore three-dimensional form and artistic creation through direct engagement and experimentation.
A new series of conversations with afikra introduces an exciting dimension to October’s programming. These talks gather distinguished cultural leaders from across the United Arab Emirates to discuss the complex relationship between cities and communities, and to consider the evolving role of the arts in shaping our collective future. Such dialogue proves essential in understanding how creative practice contributes to cultural vitality and social cohesion.
This month at 421 Arts Campus represents an invitation to discover, to participate, and to connect with others who share a passion for artistic expression, cultural learning and creative making. The campus stands ready to welcome you and your companions into this rich tapestry of cultural engagement.
