Sharjah Unveils ‘Najm’ AI Agent to Transform Investment Discovery

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnesses the launch of an innovative artificial intelligence platform designed to connect investors with commercial and industrial opportunities tailored to their specific project requirements.
Sharjah has introduced ‘Najm’, a sophisticated artificial intelligence agent developed by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), marking a significant advancement in the Emirate’s commitment to modernising its investment ecosystem. The launch took place during the opening ceremony of the 9th Sharjah Investment Forum at the Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
The innovative platform addresses a fundamental challenge confronting investors worldwide: obtaining precisely targeted information at the opportune moment. Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), articulated the vision that inspired the development of ‘Najm’: delivering the right information to the right investor at the precise moment they require it. Through interactive dialogue, investors can engage in direct conversation with the AI agent, posing follow-up questions and receiving detailed information customised to their project specifications within seconds.
During a compelling demonstration, Mr Al Musharrkh illustrated how ‘Najm’ processes complex investor requirements. A simulated scenario featured a European investor seeking an industrial plot spanning 50,000 square feet for factory establishment in Sharjah, with an anticipated investment of AED150 million. The platform rapidly analysed these parameters and presented relevant options, which could be progressively refined through additional queries and supplementary details, empowering investors with the insight necessary for judicious decision-making.
The inaugural phase of ‘Najm’ concentrates upon opportunities encompassing land, factories and industrial facilities, underpinned by comprehensive information derived from land and property listings. Strategic partnerships with Bayut and Property Finder ensure the AI agent accesses the data essential to supporting these services. The platform’s scope will subsequently expand during its second phase to encompass diverse investment opportunities across multiple sectors, including educational institutions, healthcare facilities and medical clinics.
His Highness and Her Highness witnessed the execution of three memoranda of understanding that will fortify ‘Najm’s’ capabilities. The Sharjah FDI Office signed agreements with the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, Property Finder and Bayut. These collaborative arrangements will facilitate the provision of comprehensive information regarding industrial and commercial land, enable the presentation of curated opportunities aligned with investor requirements, and supply specific data from publicly available commercial and industrial property listings through an application programming interface.
Mr Al Musharrkh emphasised that ‘Najm’ represents Sharjah’s determination to remain consonant with contemporary global developments and leverage advanced technologies to reinforce its investment environment. He underscored that cultivating a resilient economy necessitates the continual evolution of tools and services alongside the implementation of increasingly sophisticated methodologies to support investors and streamline their decision-making processes. The Emirate’s sustained endeavours have fostered an investment landscape that accommodates investor aspirations, facilitates expansion and provides access to emerging markets.
