Engineers Incubator initiative launched to cultivate 50 Emirati-owned enterprises in Dubai’s contracting sector

A transformative collaboration between leading institutions establishes an intensive programme to nurture national entrepreneurship and advance Dubai's housing ecosystem through practical training and expert guidance.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment has partnered with Dubai Municipality, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, and the New Economy Academy to inaugurate the Engineers Incubator initiative, a visionary programme designed to cultivate and establish fifty Emirati-owned companies within the contracting and engineering consultancy sectors.
This sophisticated enterprise represents a strategic commitment to unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of national talent, providing an integrated pathway through which participants may transition from comprehensive training into accomplished business proprietors and pivotal partners within Dubai’s evolving housing ecosystem. The programme operates as a carefully structured three-month intensive experience, seamlessly blending theoretical expertise with hands-on practical application across real engineering projects.
The initiative encompasses six interconnected phases: recruitment of suitable candidates, rigorous professional qualification, practical field application, formal establishment of ventures, comprehensive empowerment support, and long-term sustainability frameworks. This methodical progression transforms conventional training into a holistic entrepreneurial journey, equipping participants with the knowledge, experience and confidence necessary to establish thriving engineering consultancy offices and Emirati-owned contracting and maintenance enterprises capable of flourishing in a competitive marketplace.
The strategic impact of this endeavour extends across multiple dimensions of national development. By nurturing an emerging generation of Emirati entrepreneurs, the initiative strengthens human capital and contributes meaningfully to the national economy. Enhanced project execution quality is anticipated through the integration of theoretically trained and practically experienced national talent. The programme also amplifies the contribution of Emirati-owned companies to housing sector initiatives, whilst creating enduring economic and professional opportunities for UAE nationals.
Beyond its immediate commercial objectives, the Engineers Incubator serves as an integrated platform for transforming engineering knowledge and expertise into sustainable national projects and thriving businesses. The initiative directly supports Dubai’s strategic priorities, reinforces the objectives outlined within the Dubai Economic Agenda, aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, and contributes substantively to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
